My name is Gustavo “Samu” Giordano Portillo. I’m a freelance illustrator and graphic designer from Mendoza, Argentina, looking for new projects in the illustration world.
I have more than 15 years of experience on art and design, working on different areas like the character design, caricatures, album artworks, digital and traditional branding, book artworks, wine labels, etc. Since I was a kid it was always a constant to create my own drawing versions of cartoons, tv shows or athletes and little by little this was becoming my favorite hobbie.
Over the years I was looking for the best way to mix the design and the illustration and thus be able to have more skills and tools. For this, inspiration it was always neccesary and, in many ocassions has born in music, movies, tv shows, sport or videogames.
Today is still the same and, perhaps, the best way to express that search it’s my freelance work where my character designs always hace something to tell.
